Factory Transformation

We utilize our deep knowledge and expertise to uncover underlying issues of subpar performance. Our rigorous Diagnostic Workshops involve Data Collection, Analysis, Shop floor studies, and One on One interactions with Management, Staff, and Shop floor personnel. We also study your people-related processes and management systems including  Supplier and Customer management. Inferences are made about the needs and expectations of your Customers. We use this deep understanding of your processes, personnel, and management systems to propose an improvement roadmap that has at its core the implementation of our proprietary Change Management Model. A series of workshops are then conducted to implement the roadmap. The workshops focus on building Leadership capability to drive change and building competency at all levels of the organization. Rapid Value Accelerator events are used to solve specific problems following a Team-Based approach.  A performance management system using Tier reviews is set up to track and improve performance. Governance Systems are deployed to oversee the implementation of the roadmap. As the workshops proceed, the confidence of the team to drive initiatives on their own goes up leading to the organization being able to sustain and further improve performance.

Value Accelerator Bootcamps

Use Value Accelerator (VA) Events to implement specific improvement initiatives rapidly over a very short time frame (1 to 5 days depending on the scope of the event). Each event involves a 4 – 5 member team devoting 100% of their time to resolving a problem identified in the roadmap. Each event starts with a pre-VA event phase which includes Project Scoping, Team Formation, Data collection, etc. Abraham Lincoln once said ”Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the “axe”. The same degree of diligent planning is required to prepare for a VA event to ensure its success of the event. During the actual VA event, the team reviews the project charter and collected data, visits the Shop floor to understand the problem in detail, and then Brainstorms solutions for each issue and develops Countermeasures. The team then goes about making real changes based on the solutions proposed and testing their effectiveness. Standard Work and Control plans are developed once the results are achieved. The sustainability of results is monitored over a 3 month period and the process is handed over to Operations once all activities are completed. The principles of Kaizen, Lean, and Six Sigma are deployed throughout the VA event cycle. VA events empower personnel to solve problems, energize teams on a challenging problem and lead to dramatic improvement of results in a short time frame.

Strategic Planning & Deployment
